It’s safe to say I have been on a huge fragrance kick lately. Today’s choice is the Guerlain Mon Guerlain.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE GUERLAIN MON GUERLAIN
It’s easy to be dismissive of a perfume like based off the bottle and packaging. The bottle is 50ml and it retails for $105/N50,000. It comes in a cardboard box The bottle of the perfume has straight edges and a round cap. There is also a golden embossed band around the neck of the bottle which makes it look so elegant and precious. ‘ Guerlain’ is engraved at the bottom of the bottle. The perfume itself is light pink in colour. The package is very attractive and it looks just lovely anywhere you place it.

It checks off all of the cliches feminine scents, sweet, and pretty. You can almost imagine the notes by looking at its bottle.
The opening is fresh and floral with lavender, jasmine and bergamot. I like Mon Guerlain best after about an hour and a half, when the fruity-floral part and the top notes of patchouli soften, and the warm-spicyness appears more clearly. It gets better and dries down into a powdery vanilla.
The lasting power is about 7-8 hours. The sillage and projection varies depending on whether you are indoors or outdoors. Indoors you would get a good 2/3 hours, outdoors is probably at its highest the first hour. I find the lasting power and sillage pretty good. It also layers well with other spicy fragrances.
