MAYBELLINE FIT ME LOOSE FINISHING POWDER (Review & Swatches)
tHello beauty familia! Today’s post is all about the new Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder. Maybelline added a new loose finishing powder to the fit me line sometimes last year. It comes in eight shades, usually loose powders don’t come in a lot of colors. I got the shades 35 DEEP and 40 DARK courtesy of BEAUTYFRENZYSHOP
It comes in a plastic packaging with a sieve so just a controlled amount of product comes out at a time.
The powder claims to help control the shine and smooth skin’s texture. It provides the perfect finishing touch to the makeup base.
Although this powder is labeled as a ‘finishing powder’, it claims to act more as a ‘setting powder’ and I use it as such. Usually Setting powders are applied after foundation, to set everything in place. Sometimes they can be used to ‘bake’ and matify the skin. Whereas finishing powders are supposed to be applied at the end of the makeup, to blur fine lines and pores and unify the whole face together.
I find this powder to be smooth but not as smooth and finely milled as the Makeup Revolution luxury banana powder . It sets the foundation nicely and it helps blurring the pores. But in my opinion, it works best when applied with a light hand. I apply with a beauty blender or beauty wedge as it can look a little bit heavy if you apply too much.
There is a need for shades in between the 35 DEEP and the 40 DARK. Although it is a jump, it is perfect both golden and red undertones respectively.
So overall, It is good for setting the face. The Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder is a good drugstore option as opposed to high ended powders. If applied lightly, it gives the skin a nice seamless look. The packaging also helps the product not to get everywhere. It has a nice sieve unlike the Makeup Revolution luxury banana powder so thumbs up for that!
The powder retails for N5,500 which is a pretty good bargain. You can purchase here
